A Journey to Christlikeness

Prayer -- Our Lifeline to God

God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing  (Eph 1:3)
Chosen by God Eph 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Complete forgiveness Eph 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
Inheritance beyond imagination Eph 1:11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
Complete security Eph 1:14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
Alive with a new life Eph 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
Objects of eternal grace Eph 2:7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
God's masterpiece Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Union with Christ Eph 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
Members of one body Eph 2:16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
Access to God Eph 2:18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
Temple of God Eph 2:21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
Dwelling place of the Spirit Eph 2:22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
Powerful Eph 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

Why We pray God is Glorified through our prayer
God wants us to come to him with our prayer  (Matt 11:28)
It gives God a chance to show his Love & Care for us
Prayer is a form of communication with God
God commands us to pray.
The four "All's" of prayer - Ephesian 6:18 The first "all" -  Praying at all times
The second "all" - All prayer and supplication (petition)
The third "all" - Attitude of prayer- with all patience
The fourth "all" - The objects of our prayer:
Gal 6:10....   As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
